Write your name in an interesting way. Seemed pretty obvious as an assignment. It was a huge step coming from coding in AS3 and PHP. It took a while but in the end, writing my name took quite a bit longer than it would've had I simply wrote it down on a napkin. Nevertheless, once completed, I could deconstruct and reconstruct my name by using the x and y of the mouse. I should note that the first thing that struck me about OF, or at least coding in C++ is the use of the setup, draw, update, etc. It reminds me of Processing a bit and will require a little bit of different understanding than what I'm use to.
