for your homework, I'd like you to create 3 compositions with the particle particle interaction code.
for one at least, I'd like you combine the vector field and particle-particle interaction in an interesting way.
think, for example, about your particle particle interaction homeworks (or your vector field homeworks) and is there any one there that you'd like to
improve? Make something super interesting. No circles!
for the others, try to model a natural phenomenon, such as smoke, water, waterfalls, puddles, etc.
What interesting combinations of forces can you come up with?
For the first sketch I created a simulation of fire flies. Each particle changes alpha value and shape randomly when the fireflies are on. I wanted to just do something basic to get used to how the particle particle interaction worked.
I got more ambitious with the second sketch. For this one, I made two particle systems. Both systems have images loaded into them. When you drag the mouse on the screen, the particles speed up. The change in average velocity causes the alpha value to increase. One image is the distinct foreground image and the second image is a cloudy image for the background. I wanted to create the illusion of bioluminescent algae that gives off light when you disturb it.
